The Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellows Program

Applications for Cohort 2 are now open through July 21

The Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellows Program is a cohort-based professional development program where university teams of faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students work to develop/improve cultural competence – a set of congruent behaviors, attitudes, and policies that enable professionals to work effectively in cross-cultural situations – as well as utilize these competencies to affect their home institutions. Participants will engage in the following activities:

Study of topics such as identity, intersectionality, and systemic disparities to form the basis for understanding historical trends that impact current computing cultures as well as technology development.

Development of new undergraduate/graduate courses and/or modules within existing courses, as well as other departmental activities that better attract, retain, and support students and faculty.

Applications for Cohort 2 are now open through July 21 (3C)
